The National Disaster Management Association Malaysia (NADIM Malaysia) conducted the CBDRM Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop for Kelantan 2026 from 20 to 21 June 2026.
The workshop involved members of NADIM Malaysia and strategic partners from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). The programme was organised to train participants to become trainers in the field of Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM).
Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to the fundamental concepts of CBDRM, methods of delivering the training modules, and guidelines for implementing CBDRM programmes within local communities.
The programme also provided a platform for NADIM Malaysia and UMK to review and refine the existing CBDRM modules so that their content would be suitable for the needs, risks, and circumstances of local communities in Kelantan.
The training was part of the preparations for the implementation of CBDRM 5 Jajahan Berisiko Negeri Kelantan 2026.
Through this strategic collaboration, NADIM Malaysia hopes that the trained facilitators will help expand the implementation of CBDRM programmes and strengthen the knowledge and capabilities of local communities in preparing for disaster risks.
