NADIM Malaysia
Strengthening Disaster Preparedness and Community Resilience
Who We Are
With its urgent response, over 900 homeless families were supported with temporary shelters in collaboration with ShelterBox. NADIM also deployed more than 1,000 tents and provided technical expertise in the design and construction of a temporary transit camp for 200 families in Bandar Baru Gua Musang. The camp was developed based on United Nations standards and implemented in January 2015 at the request of the National Security Council.
NADIM Malaysia is registered with the NADMA and was appointed as an NGO-NADMA Volunteer Council Member in 2018, serving as a lead NGO for the Shelter Cluster. Today, NADIM continues to play an active role in Malaysia’s disaster management ecosystem, focusing on training, coordination, and community-based disaster risk management (CBDRM). The organization works closely with government agencies, NGOs, and local partners to deliver timely, practical support during emergencies and strengthen community preparedness.
