The National Disaster Management Association Malaysia (NADIM Malaysia) extended its warmest congratulations to its President, Tuan Roslan bin Ab Ghani, on being recognised as Tokoh Komuniti in conjunction with Hari Ahli Geologi Malaysia 2026 on 4 May 2026.
The Tokoh Komuniti recognition is awarded to individuals who have made meaningful contributions towards raising public awareness of the importance of geology, community safety, disaster risk management, and sustainable development.
Through his involvement with NADIM Malaysia, Tuan Roslan has played an important role in expanding the implementation of Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) programmes.
These efforts have helped communities understand the disaster risks in their respective areas, develop emergency action plans, and strengthen their ability to act as first responders during disasters.
The recognition also reflects the importance of collaboration between communities, government agencies, academic institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental organisations in ensuring that community development is guided by knowledge and geological science.
NADIM Malaysia hopes that this recognition will encourage further efforts to strengthen community resilience and safety throughout the country.
